Crew Employment
At Steak n Shake, we believe that it is our Crew Members who truly set us apart from other restaurants. Crew Members are encouraged to cross-train on assignments. Here are a few of the possible crew assignments you'll have as a Steak n Shake Crew Member:
Grill
Grill Operators sear our unique steakburgers on special grills which are located in full view of our guests. This way, Grill Operators are able to demonstrate the quality and pride that go into each and every order they prepare.
Fountain
What would Steak n Shake be with out shakes? Our Fountain Operators are famous for making quality, old-fashioned, hand-dipped milkshakes that meet our exacting standards. Fountain Operators also prepare our assortment of tantalizing desserts that continue to dazzle our guests.
Servers
Servers are what sets Steak n Shake apart from fast-food restaurants. We offer affordable, full-service dining, served on china with flatware and glassware. All of our great food is delivered to the guest's table with excellent service and a friendly smile.
"Earning Your Wings"
"Earning Your Wings" Training Program consists of in-depth Crew Member training on our ten work stations in the restaurant. Each trainee demonstrates knowledge and performance of station procedures, and becomes certified on that station. Crew Members may "cross-train" (become certified on more than one station), and eventually become a Service or Production Trainer.
Crew Member positions are now available at all Steak n Shake locations. We offer full- and part-time employment with flexible schedules that allow you to work when you want to work.
