What is the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club?
The Rewards Club is our new loyalty app that allows members to earn rewards, order ahead, pay, find locations, receive exclusive offers, and more!
How does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club work?
With any qualifying restaurant purchase, Rewards Club members earn 1 point for every $1 they spend. When a member has earned 50 points, he/she will receive a $5 reward to spend on future purchases.
Why does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app ask for my location information?
Your location information is needed to locate the restaurants nearest to you and make your search quick and easy.
What if I don’t have a mobile device or don’t want to have the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app on my phone?
Members can sign up and log in to their Rewards Club account via our website at www.steaknshake.com. This portal is available to manage one’s account, earn points, and claim rewards.
How does Steak ’n Shake use my information?
We do not share your personal or purchase information. Purchase information is used internally to help us provide you with targeted offers and exclusive deals.
How do I earn points?
When you’re at the restaurant, open your app so the cashier can scan the QR code. If you added your phone number to your Rewards Club account, you can simply provide the cashier with your phone number. If you forgot to use your app at the restaurant, scan the barcode on the bottom of your receipt to earn points. If you placed an order via the app, no need to do anything. Points are automatically added to your account.
How do I pay with the app?
On the “PAY” screen in the app, purchase a payment card and load funds using your credit card. Once that is complete, you will have funds loaded onto your app to use at your favorite Steak ’n Shake!
The barcode didn’t scan. What can I do?
Below the barcode will be a 13-digit code. You can use that code to manually enter in the barcode just below the scan barcode option. If the order date on the receipt is more than 2 days old, the receipt will no longer be valid to earn points.
I have an account but didn’t have the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app with me when I paid at the restaurant. Can I still earn points?
Yes! Be sure to save your receipt. Each receipt has a barcode that can be scanned to earn points. See above for more information.
How do I know how many points I have earned?
You can check your account balance at any time by opening the app and tapping “Rewards” in the bottom menu of your screen. You will see the Steakburger® points meter showing how close you are to reaching 50 points.
My receipt was for higher than the points I received, why?
You earn points on all pre-tax purchase. Tips and sales tax are not included in earning points.
Besides points, are there other ways to get deals and discounts?
From time to time we provide exclusive deals for our Rewards Club members. Be sure to check the News section of the app to see currents offers and rewards and keep an eye on your inbox for our emails.
I earned a reward. How do I redeem it?
When you’re ready to pay, open the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app, click Rewards, and select the reward you wish to redeem, A code will appear on your device and the cashier will enter the code when you pay.
I have multiple rewards. Can I use them all at once?
Members may only redeem one reward per transaction.
Do my rewards expire?
All rewards expire, but we do our best to give members enough time to redeem them. Check your account for current rewards and expiration dates.
Can I earn points on gift card purchases?
Gift card purchases do not earn points.
I have a gift card. Can I load it onto my Rewards Club app to use as payment?
Yes. Click Pay then follow the steps to load a card onto your account.
My Rewards Club question hasn’t been answered. What do I do?
Open the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app. Click More, then Help & FAQs, then Technical Support to send us an email. Please explain your situation and include the location you visited and receipt number.
I made a purchase with my gift card, but the balance didn’t update in the app?
After you make a purchase using your gift card, please be sure to hit the refresh button in the upper right hand corner of the gift card page. The gift card balance does not update automatically after each purchase.
