What is the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club?

The Rewards Club is our new loyalty app that allows members to earn rewards, order ahead, pay, find locations, receive exclusive offers, and more!

How does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club work?

With any qualifying restaurant purchase, Rewards Club members earn 1 point for every $1 they spend. When a member has earned 50 points, he/she will receive a $5 reward to spend on future purchases.

Why does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards Club app ask for my location information?

Your location information is needed to locate the restaurants nearest to you and make your search quick and easy.

How does Steak ’n Shake use my information?

We do not share your personal or purchase information. Purchase information is used internally to help us provide you with targeted offers and exclusive deals.

How do I earn points?

When you’re at the restaurant, open your app so the cashier can scan the QR code. You can tap on the Scan icon in the lower options tray in the app, and this will bring up your unique QR code. If you added your phone number to your Rewards Club account, you can simply provide the cashier with your phone number. You also have the option of scanning the bar code that is at the bottom of your store receipt. Tap the “Scan Receipt Barcode” button to use this option. If you placed an order via the app, no need to do anything. Points are automatically added to your account.

Can I use the app to pay?

You can set up a credit or debit card that can be stored as part of your app profile, and you can use this payment method for orders that you place in the mobile app. You may have a stored gift card in your profile. If you do, this will appear in the “My Payment Methods” link that can be accessed from the menu options that appears in the upper left corner of the app. This gift card can be scanned at the store to pay for an order. In the future, you will be able to use your QR code to pay if you have a stored payment card on file.

How do I know how many points I have earned?

You can check your account balance at any time by opening the app and tapping “Rewards” in the bottom menu of your screen. You will see the Steakburger® points meter showing how close you are to reaching 50 points.

My receipt was for higher than the points I received, why?

You earn points on all pre-tax purchase. Tips and sales tax are not included in earning points.

Besides points, are there other ways to get deals and discounts?

From time to time we provide exclusive deals for our Rewards Club members. You will receive a notification regarding promotional opportunities, and/or a new offer will appear on the home page of your app.

How do I redeem a reward?

Click on the “Rewards” icon in the lower app tray. If you press the “Redeem Rewards Balance” button, you will be able to scan a reward while placing a drive thru order, or lookup and use a reward if you sign in for our loyalty program at one of in store kiosks . If you are placing a mobile order, you will have the abiltiy to select an available reward as you conclude your order and prepare to make payment.

I have multiple rewards. Can I use them at all once?

You have the option to use any amount of banked reward points that you have available, above the $5 increment level. For example, if you have two $5 rewards available, you can elect to use all $10 towards the cost of a transaction, or you can use $7, as an example. In the future, we will be making changes that will make usage of points even more flexible.

Do my rewards expire?

Rewards points do not expire! When reward points are converted into a $5 reward, the reward is then available for a 60 day period.

Can I earn points on gift card purchases?

Gift card purchases do not earn points.

I have a gift card. Can I load it onto my Rewards Club app to use as payment?

No, gift cards can not be uploaded to the mobile app at this time. We may enable this feature in the future.

My Rewards Club question hasn’t been answered. What do I do?

Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the mobile app app screen. Select the “Contact Us” link, and you will be taken to a feedback page, where you can ask a question or submit an inquiry, etc.
