What is Steak ’n Shake Rewards?
Steak ‘n Shake Rewards is our NEW loyalty app that allows members to earn rewards, order ahead, pay, find locations, receive exclusive offers, and more!
How does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards work?
With any qualifying purchase, Rewards members earn 1 point for every $1 spent. When a member earns 20 points, they will receive a $2 reward to spend on future purchases. Use rewards on any menu item!
Why does the Steak ’n Shake Rewards app ask for my location information?
Your location information is needed to locate the restaurants nearest to you and make your search quick and easy. Plus, we can make sure your order is hot and fresh when you arrive for pickup orders.
How does Steak ’n Shake use my information?
We do not share your personal or purchase information. Purchase information is used internally to help us provide you with the right offers and exclusive deals.
How Do I Earn Points?
When you’re at the restaurant, open your app so the cashier can scan the QR code. You can also earn points when completing a transaction using our convenient self-serve kiosks. Scan the QR code on your app or enter your phone number when prompted during the ordering process. Start by tapping the “SCAN” icon in the lower options tray in app. This will bring up your unique QR code. If you chose to add your phone number to Rewards account, you could quickly provide the cashier that number to check in and earn points. You also have the option of scanning the bar code on the bottom of your store receipt after the transaction. Tap the “Scan Receipt Barcode” button to use this option. If you placed an order via the app or online, no need to do anything – points are automatically added to your Rewards account.
Can I use the app to pay?
You can set up a credit or debit card that can be stored as part of your app profile, and you can use this payment method for orders that you place in the mobile app.
How Do I Know How Many Points I Have Earned?
Check your account balance at any time by opening the app and tapping “Rewards” in the bottom menu of your screen. The points meter will display how close you are to earning your next $2 reward.
Why is my receipt order total more than the points I earned?
You earn points on the pre-tax amount. Tips and sales tax are not included in earning points.
Besides points, are there other ways to get deals and offers?
We provide exclusive deals and offers for Steak ‘n Shake Rewards members. Make sure to sign-up for emails and push notifications to get exclusive offer information.
How do I redeem a reward?
Click on the “Rewards” icon in the lower app tray. Press the “Redeem Rewards Balance” button to scan a reward while placing a drive thru order, or lookup and use a reward at a store kiosk. If you are placing a mobile order, select an available reward and apply it to your order before selecting your payment method during the checkout process.
I have multiple rewards. Can I use them all at once?
You can use any number of banked points that you have available above the $2 increment level. For example, if you have $8 in available rewards (four $2 rewards are available), you can apply $8 towards your order or any whole dollar amount between $2 and $8.
Do my rewards expire?
Rewards points and any reward currency ($2 rewards) expire in 365 days.
Can I earn points on gift card purchases?
Yes, gift card purchases earn loyalty points if placed on the app, online or in-store. Note that you must sign-into your Rewards account or check-in at the store before placing order.
I have a gift card. Can I load it onto my Rewards app to use as payment?
Yes, gift cards can be added to your Rewards account as a payment method. Note that you cannot currently use two forms of payment on an app or online order.
My Rewards question hasn’t been answered. What do I do?
Please click on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the mobile app screen. Select the “Contact Us” link to reach our feedback form where you can submit any questions and comments.
